Riverside 4 - 2025, acrylic and yarn on linen, hand-embroidered, size 25 x 38 cm

This composition is also partly derived from Riverside 1 and based on the same sketch as Riverside 3.
In this work, I took my color choices a step further.

What continues to fascinate me is how color alone can visually transform a landscape.
The river was given a different palette, while the grass was deliberately left blank, leaving the linen visible.
This creates the illusion that the open area now represents the river, since we do not usually associate yellow and green with water.

The difference in texture between the thread and the painted lines also plays an important role in how the landscape is experienced and interpreted.
